The bees are dying everywhere. Without them, we lose most of our fruits and many of our vegetables. The ecology that we count on collapses like a house of cards and life gets a lot harder for everyone.

Though we’re most familiar with honeybees and bumblebees, there are actually thousands of species of bees. The species we’re most familiar with live in complex colonies, but some are a bit less social, preferring to nest near each other but not in formal colonies. By tapping into this profound bio-diversity, we can give our honeybees – and our fruits and veggies the breathing room to adapt and recover while giving our ecosystems greater resilience as a whole.

Place one or more of our habitats in your early spring garden, preferably near productive fruit trees and watch bees like the Blue Orchard Mason Bee move in.

  • She doesn’t sting.
  • She’s unaffected by colony collapse disorder
  • She’s 50 times better at pollinating than honeybees
  • She won’t compete with other bees for living space
  • And she won’t drill holes in your house
